Each turbocharger is equipped with an identification plate, attached to the aluminum housing (ККК, see fig. 1) or to the centre housing (Schwitzer, see fig. 2).

The plate information is necessary for the correct identification of the turbocharger.

OEM part number: The ОЕМ number of the turbocharger is given by the engine manufacturer. Serial number: The serial number is unique for each turbocharger. Numbering indicate different details, for example date of turbocharger manufacture. BW part number: BW number is assigned to the turbocharger by BorgWarner (former batch number 3K/Schwitzer number). This number is useful for all service purposes.
